Costa Coffee has unveiled a new food and drink menu with more sandwich options and seasonal bakes.

The new menu began rolling out across its stores from last week, with new sandwiches due to be available from Thursday 10 January.

The high street chain has added three new sandwiches: British Smoked Ham & Cheese, British Roast Chicken & Bacon and Pole & Line Tuna & Sweetcorn. Its existing Free Range Egg Mayonnaise Sandwich has also had a makeover and the price has been dropped from £2.50 to £1.90 for customers to eat-in and from £2.10 to £1.60 for take away.

The Chicken & Bacon Toastie, Brie & Bacon Panini, Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil Panini and its Mac & Cheese have also made a return to the shelves after being replaced with seasonal alternatives for Christmas.

On its bakery counter, Costa has reintroduced its Orange, Pistachio & Polenta Cake and Lemon Curd Tart, which it said was now “zestier than ever”.

New to the sweet bakery menu is the Hopping Bunny Gingerbread, a lightly spiced seasonal gingerbread available until April.

Costa has also introduced the Coffee Plus menu, making pastries, including its All Butter Croissant, Pain Aux Raisins and Chocolate Twist £1 with the purchase of any medio or massimo hot drink or flat white before 11am.

Its two previous breakfast meal deals will continue alongside this, meaning customers can purchase a British Beechwood Smoked Bacon Roll or a Scrambled Egg & Mushroom Muffin for £2 with the purchase of any medio or massimo hot drink or flat white until 11am.

The chain has added two new milk alternatives taking its portfolio of milk options to seven. The new additions are Lactofree, which contains dairy but is free of lactose, and Almond Drink.
