Two of Scotland’s favourite snacks, the curry and the pie, have come together in a new product. Created by a partnership between Mister Singh’s India restaurant, McGhee’s Bakery and Pars Foods, the pastry pie contains an authentic curry recipe, chicken ambala from India’s Punjab region.
The Mister Singh’s Curry Pie will be widely available at Scottish football grounds, but the three partners also hope to take it to mass-market. Brian Sarafilovic, Pars Foods MD, said: "There are a few curry pies on the market but none from an authentic Indian restaurant recipe and who better to provide the wow factor than one of Scotland’s most famous restaurants?"
