Scottish Bakers, in partnership with Scotland Food & Drink, is to conduct a new tour to meet its members.

It said the purpose of the tour was to update members on its current initiatives and programmes and to encourage bakers to participate in a number of funded projects that Scotland Food & Drink is currently providing.

The projects are open to all members of Scottish bakers and include assistance with product development and entry to new markets.

The tour visits the following venues:
• 2nd Nov Macphie of Glenbervie, Stonehaven
• 3rd Nov West Highland College UHI, followed by visit to Nevis Bakery, Fort William
• 8th Nov Caledonian Brewery, Edinburgh
• 9th Nov Uin Foods, Near Glasgow

Each meeting will start with lunch and will be finalised with a tour of the host’s premises or a bakery demonstration where appropriate.
