With entries still flooding in, and celebrations for the King’s coronation underway, we wanted to give you a bit more time to enter the Baking Industry Awards 2023.

The deadline has been extended until Monday 15 May to give more bakeries the chance to shine.

The awards are free to enter, and entries must be submitted online via bakeryawards.co.uk.

There are 14 categories to enter, meaning there are opportunities for businesses of all shapes and sizes to thrive. This includes a new category for 2023 – Employer of the Year. Here, judges are looking for businesses that have done the most over the past year to create a positive working environment, motivating, redirecting, and training its people, while improving the company’s reputation and performance in the process.

  • Employer of the Year (NEW)

  • New Bakery Product of the Year
  • Online Bakery Business of the Year
  • Outstanding Contribution to the Baking Industry
  • Rising Star Award
  • Speciality Bread Product of the Year
  • Sustainability Initiative of the Year

“We are so excited by the calibre of entries coming in,” said British Baker editor Amy North. “The Awards are a beacon of dedication, innovation and talent – we can’t wait to shine a spotlight on the wonderful people, products and businesses this industry has to offer.”

Those selected as finalists can reap many benefits, including two free tickets to the black-tie ceremony which takes place on Tuesday 7 November at the Royal Lancaster in London.

What’s more, businesses and individuals that impress the judges enough to take home a trophy benefit from industry-wide recognition, a massive morale boost for staff and even regional and national publicity.
