On 24 July BAKO North Western hosted an interactive workshop for bakers to learn about marketing and social media.
The free workshop, held in association with Delineo, concentrated on improving POS skills, as well as using social media to expand their businesses.
The day covered the theoretical side of marketing, such as developing a brand, as well as practical tips on how to construct a plan using a simple calendar or events and planning products and promotions around them.
Sam Hayward, BAKO marketing executive and event organiser, said: “By holding this workshop we can help our customers expand their skills and knowledge - by helping them improve the marketing activities they are already undertaking, but not necessarily achieving the greatest results, and showing them that social media is an easy, interactive way to both engage with existing customers and find new ones, with very little time or cost.”
