Independent Bristol pie shop Lovett Pies is to supply the newly relaunched Harrods Food Halls.
Harrods picked Lovett Pies to be part of an exclusive group of independent food producers supplying its newly-transformed Fourth Food Hall after the retailer sourced one of the firm’s pie from an online farmers’ market.
Harrods’ food halls are currently undergoing a transformation for the first time in 30 years, and the relaunched Fourth Food Hall will focus on showcasing the best of British produce.
Lovett will supply a range of pies to Harrods including its ‘Christmas Dinner in a Pie’, which is made up of turkey with chestnut stuffing, smoked bacon and cranberry. Other fillings will include its most popular venison, porcini mushroom and smoked bacon pie as well as an exclusively designed Harrods Pie that contains steak, kidney and mushrooms.
The Harrods listing marks the first time Lovett Pies has developed a range of sharing pies, having only produced individual sizes before.
Lovett Pies co-founder Phil Roseblade said the selection process had been detailed and rigorous.
“We’re so delighted to be part of such an amazing group of British producers who have been chosen from thousands – and we’re particularly proud of the exclusive Harrods Pies we have developed with the Harrods Team,” he added. “We think visitors to Harrods are going to love it.”
