Poundland has launched a new meal deal, enabling customers to purchase four items for £2.

The meal deal includes eight sandwich options: BLT; Cheese & Onion with Mayo; Chicken & Bacon; Chicken Salad; Egg Mayonnaise; Ham & Cheese; Tuna Mayo; and Chicken & Stuffing

Any of the sandwiches can be purchased alongside a chocolate bar, crisps and a drink for £2.

Poundland said the meal deal was £1 cheaper, on average, than those in other retailers including Boots, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, WH Smith and Marks & Spencer, where meal deals included three items and were priced between £3 and £3.99.

Last year, discount retailer B&M launched a three-piece meal deal priced at £1.75, including a sandwich, crisps and a drink.

The meal deals will be joined by 22 other new lines at Poundland, including Dairylea Lunchables and a range of fresh fruit.
