Dawn Foods UK & Ireland and Unox UK have both expanded their teams with new appointments.

Dawn has taken on two new business development managers it describes as ‘well-known bakery industry faces’. They will build sales for Dawn’s current portfolio and further develop sales of the Royal Steensma product range acquired by Dawn in 2024.

Adam Manton is a craft baker who has extensive experience in bakery wholesale and was previously a business development manager with CSM Ingredients.

Nicola Hemming has a background in technical bakery and confectionery, and has worked for businesses such as JF Renshaw and British Bakels.

The pair will report into Dawn Foods managing director Tim Clarkson, who said: “I am delighted that Adam and Nicola – both well respected within the bakery industry and sharing extensive sales experience across a range of products and bakery applications – have joined Dawn to build on our successes to date and further grow the UK business.”

Thomas Bentham and Hrudhvi Anand have become corporate chefs at Unox UK

Meanwhile, commercial ovens supplier Unox UK has appointed Thomas Bentham and Hrudhvi Anand as corporate chefs.

Previously a key account manager at Unox, Bentham is described as bringing in-depth knowledge of the Unox portfolio and industry experience as a sous chef.

“Unox equipment can revolutionise and modernise how a kitchen operates,” he said. “It’s part of my new role to show this to our customers through product demonstrations, so that we know they are getting the best support and educational value when it comes to working with our technology.”

Anand was previously a commis pastry chef, pastry demi chef de partie, and chef instructor based in Mumbai, and became well versed with Unox India as an end user in the hotel and restaurant sector.

Unox managing director Scott Duncan said the investment in its culinary team demonstrated Unox’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the user experience.

“In our industry, it’s so important that our team can speak to chefs in their own culinary language, in their specified workspaces – from cooking programmes and menu development to cleaning and maintenance. Both Tom and Hrudhvi have key skills and invaluable industry experience that will help us achieve this.”
