The School of Artisan Food is to offer a range of fast-paced short courses specially designed for new food start-ups and existing, expanding enterprises.

Aimed at busy entrepreneurs, the one and two-day courses include ‘Foodie Finance’ for those struggling with the money side of the business, ‘Entrepreneurship and Food Business’ for those looking to set up their own business, and ‘Food Marketing and Brands’ for learning how to attract and keep customers.

Yvonne O’Donovan, head of business and enterprise at The School of Artisan Food, said: “The new courses have been developed to meet the growing demand from individuals and industry in core areas with a proven impact on the bottom line and potential success for new start-ups and existing enterprises.

“By attending one or more of our business courses, participants can avoid common pitfalls, arm themselves with the knowledge and skills to turn ideas into reality, and thereby lay strong foundations for ethical and successful trade.”

All of the courses will be delivered by business tutors at the School’s training facilities at Welbeck in Nottinghamshire and will include workshops, practical exercises and lectures.

Bespoke courses can also be designed upon request.
