A fire at the rear of a bakery in Manchester resulted in residents being evacuated from the flats in the building above.
Fire crews were called to the blaze on St James Street at 7.30am, after a woman reported smoke was coming into her flat.
The fire had started in a storage area and bin compound at the back of Wong Wong Bakery, which is situated on the ground floor of a four-storey building, according to Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
Teams of firefighters from Manchester Central, Salford, Philips Park and Hyde, tackled the fire in the China Town area of the city.
Ben Levy, station manager at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue, said: “The fire was contained to the rear of the bakery and we evacuated residents from the three floors above, leading them to safety. We also gained access to further properties to check everyone was safe.”
