Warrens Bakery has introduced its first ever gluten-free pasty range to fill the gap in its offering.
Rolling out at selected Warrens stores from 11 November, the gluten-free pasties will be available to purchase in two flavours: Cheese & Onion and Steak for £3.95 each.
Warrens revealed that the bakes have taken months to develop alongside master baker Jason Jobling, who used his years of experience to perfect the gluten-free pasties.
The Cornish bakery introduced a three-strong Vegan Pasty range in the summer following huge customer demand.
Jobling, who is also the chairman of the Cornish Pasty Association, said that following the launch of the vegan pasties, they wanted to cater for even more customers.
“The new gluten-free pastry has taken a while to perfect, given that gluten gives the stretchiness to dough and we only wanted to launch once we were happy that the pastry retained all of the authentic qualities that have won us so many accolades,” said Jobling.
“The gluten-free arrivals have been developed to match as closely as possible, meaning everybody can now enjoy a convenient taste of the British seaside.”
Warrens is currently undergoing a rapid expansion outside the south west of England and recently opened a franchise store in Taunton at the start of this month.
