Wiltshire-based business Haydens Bakery has embarked on a multi-million pound investment plan.

Haydens started its investment engagement with its executive team, along with Pieter Totté, executive chairman of parent company Real Good Food, playing host to local Devizes MP Claire Perry, in order to provide insight into its future business plans and extensive investment agenda.

This will involve refurbishing its equipment, building extensions, infrastructure and facilities.

The development is expected to be complete by early autumn 2017 and managing director John Larsen said the company was looking forward to announcing the relaunch event in the coming months.

“As they say ‘good things come to those who bake’, so we’re extremely excited to commence discussions about the major multi-million pound redevelopment across the Haydens Devizes Bakery,” Larsen said. “We rise to the challenge of achieving our ambitious growth plans and this redevelopment is one of the many slices of the pie to get us there.

“This will be an iconic milestone for the Haydens journey and is one that should be celebrated. Further details on the extent and scope of the investment will be detailed around the launch event.”

Haydens Bakery employs around 550 people in and around the area.
