Having traditionally worked with metal, Invicta Bakeware is expanding its business with the launch of a new trading division - Food Industry Supplies.
It will offer a range of plastics, storage and handling equipment for all sectors of the food processing industry, including items such as a twin-skin mobile ingredients truck, and small knives, which can be laser-etched for traceability if needed.
According to the firm, many of the new products are both innovative and exclusive to Food Industry Supplies, “and the company’s ability to mould the majority of lines in 12 different colours addresses the industry’s increasing need for effective ingredients segregation”.
A number of the products also combine plastic and metalware components, in which the two branches of the company work together.
John Waddington, managing director, Invicta Bakeware, said he was confident the new venture would offer broader solutions for the increasingly challenged food industry.
“Businesses today are required to introduce effective segregation systems to meet the growing demands of changing legislation and external audit. One way of achieving this is through colour coding and our new range of products makes it incredibly easy to put such a system in place.”
Chris Newton, divisional manager, said: “We have taken considerable time and effort to develop a range of products that are worthy of Invicta’s strong reputation for high-quality manufacturing. This has involved the introduction of new tooling equipment and strengthening strategic production areas within the factory by bringing in additional skilled members of staff.”
Other products include: ingredient bins, dispense units, tanks, bowls together with bespoke sieves, dollies, trays, and all associated sundry products, such as scoops, jugs and detectable stationery.
Further products are currently under development, such as a dedicated sieve for the new ingredients truck, which will be available soon.
Food Industry Supplies and Invicta Bakeware will be exhibiting on stand G349 at the Foodex 2014 exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham on 24-26 March.
