Nine London businesses have featured in a list of the top 10 cafés in the UK as rated by consumers.
The list, compiled by European consumer reviews website Qype, featured Bea’s of Bloomsbury, Euphorium Bakery in Islington and Candy Cakes located in Covent Garden among its top 10 UK cafés.
Other London businesses positioned in the list included Scandinavian Kitchen in Fiztrovia, Flat White Espresso Bar and Maison Bertaux, both based in Soho, The Wolseley in Mayfair and Dose Espresso in Barbican.
The only venue to appear on the list located outside the capital was Artisan Roast in Edinburgh.
Richard Dennys, chief marketing officer at Qype, said: “It’s great to see the capital has such a range of fantastic cafés. With so much positive feedback from our users, it demonstrates that true passion combined with great food and drink will be recognised.
“It’s really positive to see our users favouring smaller chains and independent stores; it just shows that quality is king. With over 13.5 million points of interest and more than 2.7 million reviews, our users are never far away from hidden gems, especially when using our mobile app, and with the unpredictable British weather, finding a great café to shelter in is a necessity.”
