SSP UK is set to roll out its Mi Casa food-to-go format in the next year.

According to British Baker’s sister title M&C Report, the travel concessions operator is set to open up the Mexican burrito food-to-go concept at a number of transport hubs over the next year, including its first airport location.

Locations which SSP is looking to open up new Mi Casa stores this year includes the redeveloped New Street railway station in Birmingham as well as Manchester Airport and a second location in London.

It comes just after a year British Baker revealed SSP was closing all of its Ixxy’s Bagels outlets operating in the UK, as the company’s first Mi Casa replaced one of the bagel brand’s existing sites in London Victoria railway station.

Mi Casa predominantly serves a selection of Mexican burritos, nachos, drinks and snacks.
