Tim Hortons is set to open a second outlet in Glasgow as part of the firm’s nationwide roll-out plan in the UK.

Located at Glasgow’s Silverburn Shopping Centre, the Canadian coffee chain will open on 16 November from 10am, which will create job opportunities such as manager and assistant manager roles.

As part of the launch, Tim Hortons is offering the first 100 people queueing to explore the new site a free breakfast combo and the first person to enter through the doors with a year’s supply of free original blend brewed coffee.

The move follows Tim Hortons making its UK debut in Glasgow’s Argyle Street at the start of June, and becomes the second UK city, along with Cardiff, to have two sites.

Sites will also be opening in Manchester and Belfast this year.

“We’re thrilled to announce we’re opening in Silverburn Shopping Centre – it’s a fantastic area and shares similar values with Tim Hortons – a strong sense of community and friendly culture,” said Kevin Hydes, chief finance and commercial officer in the UK for Tim Hortons.

“We knew the UK loved its great coffee and delicious, freshly made food, but the excitement we’ve seen for Tim Hortons has beaten all of our expectations.”

The chain will reveal more openings across different UK locations over the next couple of months.
