The Scandinavian-style premium coffee shop chain is to open a fourth branch this year, in London’s Covent Garden village.

The new Nordic Bakery branch will be aptly housed in an 1806 Flemish-style building on the north end of Neal Street, located within the Seven Dials estate.

Miisa Mink, co-owner of Nordic Bakery, said: “Many overseas retailers are choosing the Covent Garden area as their flagship too, and the whole area has a grown-up urban feel.

“Our location offers visitors a peaceful place to stop and enjoy a fika or to take away a coffee and lunch.”

Nordic Bakery Covent Garden will serve sweet and savoury bakes, dark rye sandwiches, Scandinavian salads and breakfasts, including its famous cinnamon buns, cookies and cakes such as Sweden’s Tosca as well as Karelian pies and Scandinavian salads.

Nordic Bakery opened its third site in 2012, on London’s Baker Street.
