The Bread Factory has received face visors from Regency Design & Print to help protect production staff during the coronavirus outbreak.
Protection was needed for the workforce, especially those in warehousing and distribution, said Eilan Azulay, site manager at The Bread Factory.
He learnt about manufacturer Regency Design from LinkedIn, which led to him to contact the firm. A few days later, 120 personal protective equipment (PPE) face visors had been delivered.
Regency Design has recently converted its design and manufacturing capability to PPE, launching a Category 1 Face Visor as part of a series of innovations to support key workers in current and future crises, said the company.
“We need to keep our bakery running to supply the major retailers and when I was satisfied that we were not buying product that would have been going to the NHS, I was happy to place an order and even happier that Regency Design provided us with a quantity at no charge,” Azulay said.
The highly-durable visors are CE-marked to adhere to health, safety and environmental protection standards for products sold within the EU.
Tens of thousands have already been delivered to NHS test centres and trusts across the UK as part of Regency’s commitment to protecting essential staff.
“We are now looking at using our proven design and manufacturing skills to innovate other products that will be needed for crisis and beyond,” said Zak Manhire, chief commercial officer at Regency Design.
