The UK Food & Drink Shows, hosted by British Baker publisher William Reed, are set to return to the Birmingham NEC in April 2022.
Comprising the National Convenience Show, Farm Shop & Deli Show, Food & Drink Expo and The Forecourt Show, the event will take place from Monday 25 April to Wednesday 27 April. They’re designed to bring the very best from across key industries together for three days of trends, innovation, networking, and insight.
Notably, British Baker’s Britain’s Best Loaf competition is to be held on the first day with entries due to open early in the new year. Here, loaves from across the nation will battle it out in six categories – Gluten Free, Innovation, Plain Sourdough, Sourdough with Other Ingredients, White, and Wholegrain – to be in with a chance of taking home the top accolade. The 2021 champion was a Prune & Cardamom Sourdough from Joe’s Bakery in Bishopston, Bristol.
Other competitions taking place at the shows include the brand-new Farm Shop & Deli Product Awards and the Retailer Awards.
“Trade shows have never been so important and in 2022, we’re delighted to be able to bring back the UK Food & Drink Shows to the NEC,” said Andrew Reed, managing director – wine & exhibitions, William Reed. “Each individual show will be tailored to its respective audience, tackling sector-specific issues whilst across the event the biggest trends, challenges and opportunities facing our industry in the coming years will be debated and discussed – we can’t wait to see you there.”
