Bakery supplier Rich Products has rolled out a bake-off range to tap the sweet bakes trend.
The range, Baked by Rich’s, features cookies, muffins, buns, shortbreads and pastries. They are available fully finished thaw-and-serve or as frozen cookie dough for bake-off in store.
The sweet baked goods are designed to help wholesale, grocery, foodservice and out-of-home channel retailers to satisfy the growing sweet-toothed cravings of UK consumers, said the company.
Rich’s aims to drive market sales and margin growth. It will work with clients to bring their own bespoke products to life and give outlets an opportunity to customise their baked goods range.
Consumers are seeking indulgent treats and spending more on visually enticing cookies, cakes and pastries, according to the company. Shoppers are also increasingly conscious of what they are eating, so when indulging, it should be “worth the calories”.
“More consumers are leading healthier lifestyles, but increasingly, they’re also looking for something enticing to reward themselves,” said John Want, marketing director at Rich’s.
“Baked is a collection of premium products that can step-change sweet goods offerings and give exceptional value for money and a delicious eating experience down to the last bite.”
The range was created in the company’s Andover bakery facility. Last year, Rich Products expanded its UK, Europe and Middle East presence with an investment in the new production centre.
