BBC Radio 2’s Ken Bruce show was broadcast live from Northern Irish food and ingredients supplier Andrew Ingredients yesterday.
The show was the first stop of the ‘We Stop For PopMaster’ UK tour, in which Bruce is broadcasting the show live from listeners’ workplaces over four days.
As part of the visit, Bruce took part in a challenge to decorate a cake alongside Andrew Ingredients’ product development and support assistant Caitlin Trimble.
The team also provided brunch, including local specialist breads such as soda farls, potato bread and wheaten bread, which were produced in the on-site test bakery.
Scouting for Girls also performed three songs live from the factory.
“To kick off our ‘We Stop for PopMaster’ tour at a test bakery facility in Northern Ireland is the icing on the cake,” said Bruce.
