Malt producer Muntons has named Mark Tyldesley as managing director.
Tyldesley joined the business as deputy managing director eight months ago and will move into his new role in January 2018. He succeeds Alan Ridealgh, who will step down to focus on an ambassadorial role for the company following an 11-year tenure as MD.
Ridealgh said Tydesley had proved his capabilities during his time at Muntons and that it was the right time for him to take over the reins.
Tyldesley previously held senior positions at Premier Foods and Tesco.
“I was delighted to be able to have accepted this new appointment, said Tyldesley. “Muntons is a first-class organisation with a strong and successful heritage and has a culture that has been established over its many decades.
“I am excited by the challenges that lie ahead as we build on the passion for our products, our customer service and our staff which I am sure will see us go from strength to strength.”
Muntons recently arranged for its branding to appear on two new trucks operated by Coastal Global Logistics.
