The Boutique Cupcake Company has recently been working with Universal Pictures, in a celebration of both National Cupcake Week, and the release on DVD and Blu-ray of Monster High: Ghouls Rule, next month.
The bakery, which was a finalist in this year’s National Cupcake Championships, was asked to design some “unique and funky cupcakes” that would be simple to re-create at home.
A piece featuring the cupcake recipe and method appeared in Girls & Co magazine earlier this month.
Lisa Cohen, owner, told British Baker that the company had been searching for a cupcake firm that made the kind of funky and contemporary cupcakes they felt would suit the film. “They asked if we could create some designs that would be in the feel of the movie theme.”
She said the bakery came up with a number of designs for different levels of difficulty, but which could still be manageable for young girls to recreate.
