A Chinese bakers delegation was treated to a tour of the UK bakery scene and a dinner at the Worshipful Company of Bakers (WCB). The event was organised by David Powell on behalf of Rich Products.
The delegates, including craft bakers and staff of Starbucks in China, visited Dunn’s Bakery in Crouch End, London, owned by Baking Industry Awards Lifetime Achievement winner Christopher Freeman. Later, they were hosted at a dinner at Bakers’ Hall by Ted Rich, MD of Rich’s UK arm, and given a tour of the premises and a presentation on the UK bakery sector. A visit of UK bakers to China is planned for May 2012.
