Coffee chain Tim Hortons has announced plans to open a drive-thru restaurant in St Catherine’s Leisure Park in Perth, Scotland.
The store will serve the brand’s signature doughnuts, Timbits, along with a range of beverages, sandwiches, wraps, toasted melts and breakfast options.
The new restaurant will create 40 jobs, the company said, with a range of full-time and part-time roles available.
“We’re delighted to have secured a fantastic location in Perth for our new drive-thru restaurant,” said Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer at Tim Hortons UK & Ireland.
Tim Hortons, which originated in Canada, opened its first UK store in Glasgow in June 2017. A further 27 restaurants are now operating under the brand name in and around Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leicester and Manchester.
“We have had an incredible reaction in Scotland for our brand and look forward to bringing this to more communities across the country with our latest opening,” Hydes added.

Tim Hortons is one of the new entrants in the 2021 Bakery Market Report’s top 75.
The Bakery Market Report is the authoritative annual tracker of the out of home bakery market, listing the top 75 companies that sell baked goods as a primary element of their food offering in a non-supermarket retail, food-to-go or eat-in format benchmarked by the number of UK outlets operated.
The free 2021 report reveals the true impact of the pandemic on the market so far. There’s been shop closures, mass redundancies and revenue loss for some, while others have entered into company voluntary arrangements with creditors to keep afloat.
It’s not all doom and gloom though as some companies have flourished thanks to delivery services and revamped business models featuring services such as drive-thru.
