Registration is now open for the 2015 Dawn Foods’ National American Bakery Week (1 to 7 July).
The event aims to support high street bakers in maximising sales of American-style bakery products and raise awareness among consumers.
Registered bakers will receive a POS kit including bunting, flags, balloons and a competition kit with vouchers and key rings to help them run in-store prize draws over the week.
Graham Ryder, owner of Peter’s Bakery in Manchester, who took part last year, said: “The week was a huge success for us last year and our sales of donuts and muffins increased by 22% during the event. We used the materials provided by Dawn to decorate the bakery and enjoyed explaining to customers what the week was all about, especially on 4 July. We are really looking forward to getting involved with the National American Sweet Bakery Week in 2015.”
Dean Wright, owner of Wrights of Bedlington, also found benefits to taking part in the event, such as trying out new product ideas and increasing footfall.
Follow the week, sponsored by California Raisins, on Twitter using #NationalAmericanSweetBakeryWeek and @DawnFoodsUK and register at dawnbakery.co.uk.
