Roll plant manufacturer Koenig has set up a new subsidiary to design and install turnkey projects for bakeries.
The new subsidiary – Koenig Technology Project – will see the company expand its portfolio and be involved with mixing and transporting, dough processing, and baking and cooling with new bakeries.
Koenig Technology has developed a series of direct- and indirect-fired single-deck modular tunnel ovens and indirect-fired multi-deck ovens for various baked products. The move has also resulted in Koenig expanding its equipment line-up, adding proofing systems including step, tray and rack proofers.
The services of the new operation will be available through EPP, which has worked with Koenig for a number of years supplying and installing machinery to British craft and in-store bakers.
“Over the years we have seen Koenig grow into the world-leading manufacturer it is today and constantly add impressive new machinery to its range in order to get to the position where it is today,” said EPP managing director Steve Merritt.
“Koenig is now able to supply large-scale plant for turnkey projects worldwide.”
Koenig CEO Wolfgang Staufer echoed Merritt’s comments, saying the company had seen a growing interest in industrial lines and turnkey projects.
“As we see a large potential future market we have taken the decision to enlarge our product program and know-how in this field.”
