The hunt is on for the best people, products, and businesses the baking industry has to offer as British Baker gets the 2024 Baking Industry Awards underway.

Now in its 37th year, the awards recognise talent, innovation, and dedication within the sector by shining a light on fantastic new products, future stars, and incredible companies.

Entries are welcome from firms of all sizes from major manufacturers to craft bakeries and everyone in between, including equipment and ingredient suppliers. If you’re part of this fabulous industry, we want to hear from you!

There are 13 categories to choose from including Baker of the Year, Bakery Retailer of the Year, Rising Star Award, and Sustainability Initiative of the Year (see full list below).

There’s also the brand-new category Bakery Brand of the Year, which recognises outstanding performance by a consumer-facing brand.

“We are thrilled to launch the Baking Industry Awards 2024,” said British Baker editor Amy North. “They have been around for nearly four decades and are the epitome of excellence. They shine a spotlight on the exemplary businesses, innovative products, and the people who go above and beyond to make this industry a truly wonderful place to be.

“The night also offers an excellent opportunity to make new connections and catch up with existing ones as we celebrate this wondrous sector.”

Previous winners and finalists have benefitted from lucrative press coverage on British Baker as well as national and local media outlets, increased sales, industry-wide recognition, and a massive morale boost for staff.

“The Baking Industry Awards stage is the place to be recognised, showcasing your hard work to many of the biggest names in the industry. You’ve got to be in it to win it, so make sure you enter. Our judges are eager to learn more about your accomplishments and ambitions,” North added.

This year’s event will begin with a drinks reception followed by a three-course dinner, then the awards ceremony, which will be hosted by a celebrity presenter.
