More than 500 esteemed guests from across the baking industry are due to descend upon the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London next week to attend the Baking Industry Awards.
Taking place on Thursday 24 October, the black-tie celebration is set to be the biggest since 2019 with 520 people already confirming their attendance.
Some of the UK’s largest retailers, bakery manufacturers, brands, and suppliers are among them including Asda, Morrisons, M&S, Gail’s Bakery, Ginsters, Greggs, St Pierre, and Warburtons.
“The biggest night in the bakery calendar just got even bigger,” said British Baker editor Amy North. “We are overwhelmed at the support for the awards – it truly is a community event bringing people from all corners of the industry together for a night of celebration, collaboration, and networking.”
The night will kick off with a drinks reception before we sit down for a spectacular bakery themed dinner complete with an after-dinner cocktail. In a twist for this year, dessert will be served after the awards ceremony with a dessert table offering a delightful range of miniature options for those with a sweet tooth.
The main event will see celebrity host Scott Mills help reveal the winners in 13 categories (see the full list below), before the after party – complete with fun and games – commences to take us through to the wee hours.
“We’ve made a few changes this year and can’t wait for you to see what they are,” North added. “The menu can only be described as ‘a celebration of bakery’ so make sure you come hungry and ready to celebrate this illustrious and innovative industry.”
