Finsbury Food Group has unveiled a range of licenced cakes for spring 2023 with Harry Potter, Peppa Pig, and Mario Kart among the characters featured.

The line-up, which will be available in supermarkets nationwide, includes celebration cakes and cupcakes as well as bites made under the long-standing partnership between Finsbury and Thorntons.

Mario Kart Celebration Cake

This nut-free celebration cake consists of sponge with a layer of raspberry jam and sweet filling, covered with soft icing and finished with edible Mario and Luigi decorations. It includes stickers and a scene to colour in.

Available now in Asda, Tesco and Nevilles (rsp £12)

 

Strawberry and Chocolate Cupcakes in TGI Fridays packaging

TGI Fridays – Strawberry & Chocolate Milkshake Cupcakes

Finsbury continues to grow its partnership with TGI Fridays, which kicked off with traybakes in 2021, with a six-pack of cupcakes inspired by the restaurant’s milkshakes.

The strawberry cupcakes comprise soft sponge topped with strawberry cream cheese flavour frosting, edible crunchy decorations, and strawberry sauce. The chocolate variants, meanwhile, see chocolate sponge topped with chocolate frosting, fudge pieces and chocolate sauce.

Available in packs of six in Tesco from mid-April (rsp £4.50)

Featuring Peppa Pig and her brother George, the celebration cake sees sponges sandwiched with raspberry jam and sweet filling, covered with soft icing and edible character decorations.

Thorntons Salted Caramel Marble Bites

Finsbury’s partnership with Thorntons continues to go from ‘strength to strength’, according to the manufacturer. The latest piece of NPD, the Salted Caramel Marble Bites, have a flavour profile that blends both brownie and blondie, Finsbury said, coated with Thorntons chocolate.

Available in Tesco from April and Asda and Sainsburys from May (rsp £1.85)
