Artisan baker and café chain Patisserie Valerie has extended its delivery service to central London.
Following a trial in Leeds last month, Jon Hassall, projects director, said the scheme had received a great response in London.
“Our very first order was 32 individually selected sandwiches, which demonstrates we have the offer in regards to menu, price, availability and delivery right,” he said. “We have had a large number of people asking for monthly accounts, which is a good pointer for lots of repeat business.”
Hassall added that subsequent orders had included the company’s traditional wrap and sandwich platters. In almost all cases, he said, consumers had added a Patisserie Valerie signature product, such as an eight-inch cake or a six-item treatbox.
The company is also looking to offer an updated spring menu, as well as adding more cakes, slices and products.
Current breakfast options include a plain croissant (£1.15), almond croissant (£1.55), pain au raisin (£1.50), apricot Danish (£1.50), as well as a cheddar cheese & tomato filled croissant (£3.25).
For lunch, ‘Made for You’ sandwiches are available, with a selection of breads, fillings, salads, cheeses and seasonings, costing £3.15.
Customers can receive a 30% discount on their first order, with free delivery when they spend £15.
