Pidy, the Belgian pastry producer, has announced an exciting addition to its Trendy range, with the launch of Trendy Coco Shell Cases.
The Trendy Shell range currently consists of square, round and mini shortcrust canapés, available as either neutral or sweet shortcrust pastry. Trendy Coco Shell Cases are chocolate-flavoured pastry cases, which are available in two sizes and three shapes.
Pidy said: “The tempting new addition adds a further dimension and gives chefs an even greater option when looking for something that little bit different.”
The larger sizes in the range are ideal as the base for a range of desserts, while the mini varieties are designed for dessert board sharing platters or indulgent canapés.
Robert Whittle, general manager at Pidy UK, said: “We’ve been inundated with requests to include a ready-to-fill chocolate-flavoured shell. By combining the same thinner, crumbly pastry, with its exceptional bite and a rich chocolaty flavour, the new cases are ideal for caterers looking to add or enhance their existing dessert menu.”
In April Pidy won an award for its recently launched gluten-free range.
