The Co-operative Food has reduced the price of bread, milk and eggs to £1.
Starting today until 26 January across 2,800 stores nationwide, The Co-operative British semi-skimmed milk 2.27 litre, The Co-operative free range medium eggs 6s and Kingsmill medium dliced bread 800g will be £1 each.
Andrew Mann, customer director at The Co-operative Food, said: “January is notoriously tough for British shoppers, as payday seems a long way off, and Christmas is still being paid for.”
Mann added that the company started the year with a sale, which included a range of half-price offers, as well as a voucher scheme that rewarded customers who spent £20 or more.
“We are confident that saving them money on shopping basket staples, such as bread, milk and eggs, on key shopping days will definitely help ease the financial blues,” he said.
The milk and eggs on offer are British, Scottish or Welsh, and the eggs are British Scottish or Welsh and free-range.
