Aldi has unveiled its new vegan bruschetta snack for summer
Its 150g Vegan Bruschetta is available in two variants: Garlic & Parsley and Tomato & Oregano.
The Garlic & Parsley variant includes fresh Spanish garlic and dustings of dried parsley.
Tomato & Oregano contains pureed Spanish tomatoes and a seasoning of dried oregano.
Comprising a base of vegan bread dough, the retailer hopes to replicate the ‘authentic Italian flavour’ of traditional bruschetta.
Consumers can re-heat and top with vegan cheese for a warm garlic bread and pizza-style canapé, it added.
The Vegan Bruschetta is available as a Specialbuy for an rsp of 99p from 28 June.
Aldi rolled out a range of bakery items in a packaged format last month.
