Growing café-bakery chain Muffin Break will open its doors in Trinity Walk shopping centre, Wakefield, on Thursday 16 August.
Since opening its UK business in 2001, the Canadian chain has grown to over 60 café-bakeries nationwide, with a further six café-bakeries in the pipeline and 10 more in total to open in the next year.
Joshua Nixon, head of estates at Muffin Break, said: “The Wakefield café will occupy a corner glazed unit in Trinity Walk with strong footfall and adjacent to strong national and international retailers, which is key criteria for the selection of our sites.”
Nixon added that the company’s growth strategy is to expand in primary and good secondary shopping locations with a strong retail mix and high footfall.
“We are seeing strong demand in the south east and north west of England and those areas are our current priorities. However we welcome an approach from prospective franchisees from all over the UK.” he said.
