Canadian café and bakery business Tim Hortons is set to open its first UK drive-through site in Manchester later this month.
While an official opening date is yet to be confirmed, the drive-through will be located on Bury New Road, Manchester and will also be the first Tim Hortons site to open in England.
The drive-through site will feature a regional training academy and will bring further job opportunities to Manchester.
The launch is part of the chain’s “nationwide roll-out” with two site openings in Cardiff and Glasgow, and more expected to open in Manchester and Belfast.
“The Tim Hortons drive-through is a major part of Canadian culture, and we think the UK is going to love our great-tasting coffee and quality food, served quickly and with a smile,” said Kevin Hydes, chief finance and commercial officer of the Tim Hortons franchise in the UK.
“The buzz around our recent Glasgow and Cardiff openings was phenomenal, and we couldn’t be more excited to open our first drive-through, and our first restaurant in England.”
Tim Hortons will offer an extensive and varied drinks menu, as well as baked goods such as its signature Timbits - bite-sized doughnuts that come in a variety of flavours.
The Canadian chain announced today (4 December) that it will open its third Scottish site in in Strathkelvin Retail Park on 6 December.
