International Taste Solutions (ITS) has appointed Gail Underwood as the company’s chief flavourist.
Underwood has a wealth of experience in the flavour industry since starting her first role as a soft drinks technologist in 1973, said ITS
She has also undertaken roles with Synergy Flavours, Fuerst Day Lawson and completed 13 years at Barnett and Foster (now Firmenich) as a flavourist.
“Bringing Gail into the team will allow ITS to be playing top division in the sector and to make a step up in terms of new flavour development for various applications,” said Mike Bagshaw, ITS managing director and founder.
Underwood said she was excited to be part of the company’s strategic growth plans.
“It is an exciting time to join ITS, especially in this moment of rapid growth for the company into different sectors like sports nutrition, dairy or beverages,” she added. “I am delighted to be able to bring my flavour expertise to the team.”
Based in Newbury, Berkshire, ITS offers flavour and texture solutions to the bakery, dairy and health/wellness markets. Its premises include a test bakery, innovation kitchen and a flavour creation/applications lab.
