London-based bakery Bread Ahead is set to open its doors as part of a new seasonal residency in Mayfair.
Opening from 1 November until late January, the site will operate as a sit-down café serving hot breakfast and lunch with 50 covers. It will be based on North Audley Street, south of Oxford Street and will be open from 7am through to 7pm every day and extend its opening hours until 10pm on Thursday and Friday.
Brioche French toast with jam, honey & icing sugar and white sourdough with scrambled eggs and salmon will be among items on its breakfast menu, while a selection of sandwiches and freshly baked pastries and doughnuts will be part of its lunch offering.
Coinciding with the launch of Bread Ahead’s Mayfair site will be the introduction of its limited-edition Christmas pudding doughnut (pictured above).
Available to purchase across all sites from 1 November until Christmas, the limited-edition doughnut will be adorned with a gingerbread biscuit star and rolled in cinnamon sugar. It follows a series of limited-edition doughnuts trialled by the bakery.
Bread Ahead opened its first bakery in Borough Market in 2013 before opening the Bakery School in 2014. It also has sites in Seven Dials and in Chelsea.
Bread Ahead was one of the companies affected in the London terror attacks at its Borough Market site in June 2017.
