Speciality coffee roaster 200 Degrees has opened a store in Liverpool’s Metquarter centre today (15 July).
The store, which is the ninth opening for 200 Degrees in the UK, spans 2,000 sq ft and has seating for 72 covers. It serves coffee from the 200 Degrees roast house in Nottingham, as well as deli-style sandwiches, baguettes, salads, soups, cakes and pastries, all prepared daily on the premises. The opening has created 20 new jobs in the city.
“We are delighted to open our doors in the go-to retail destination that is Liverpool’s Metquarter,” said Tom Vincent, co-founder and director at 200 Degrees.
“The city has an incredible food and drink scene, which we can’t wait to be a part of and, in our prime position on the ground floor of the centre, we relish the chance to serve people shopping, working in neighbouring businesses or anyone seeking out a relaxing space to enjoy our hand-roasted coffee, freshly prepared food and perhaps one or two of our sweet treats.
“As with all of our coffee shops, we’ve worked very hard to give the Liverpool store a unique, welcoming atmosphere with our signature ‘Hand Made in England’ copper wall, comfy interior and outdoor café seating area – where customers can enjoy the warmer months.”
