The latest British Baker poll, on [http://www.bakeryinfo.co.uk], has revealed that bakers thought that skills shortages were the biggest issue facing their business in 2008.

Forty-one per cent of bakers voted that skills shortages will be the major issue this year, followed by 35%, who elected for the rising cost of ingredients.

Competition from larger rivals came in third, at 14%, followed by 10% who voted for the burden of regulation and legislation.
