A Tesco bakery specialist, CEO of egg-free chain Cake Box, and reigning Baker of the Year Tona Erreguin are among the speakers for the British Society of Baking’s (BSB) 2026 spring conference.
Taking place at the Cotswold Hotel & Spa in Chipping Norton on Wednesday 22 April, the conference will explore the theme of ‘driving business forward’ with speakers from retail, manufacturing, equipment, craft bakery, and more taking to the stage to provide their own spin on the topic.
Here’s the full line-up of speakers and what they will be discussing:

- Tona Erreguin, founder and head baker, Imma the Bakery – Erreguin isn’t resting on her laurels since being named Baker of the Year at the 2025 Baking Industry Awards. Commended for her passion, technical know-how, and thoughtful leadership, she will share the key things she has learned and is putting into action as she grows her Oxfordshire-based craft bakery business

- Patrick O’Sullivan, CEO of Promise Gluten Free (Gallaghers) – O’Sullivan will share his playbook for success which has seen the business win in its homeland of Ireland and venture into new markets with new products
- Emma Kelly, bakery specialist at Reiser UK – a 2018 Rising Star Award finalist who has successfully moved on from her student days into NPD and troubleshooting for the equipment provider
- Simon Bos, owner of Mezze IQ, and Hugo Walker, head of marketing – the duo will explain how AI can be applied to automate bakery processes, reduce waste, recover lost orders, prevent breakdowns, and more.
The conference will be preceded by a dinner the night before (21 April) with the BSB golf competition also taking place earlier that day. Tickets can be booked via the BSB website or by contacting the society via britishsocietyofbaking80@gmail.com.
