This feature will find out how smart manufacturing is changing the industry through its use of digitally connected, data-driven technologies to make factories more efficient, flexible and responsive. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of AI, automation, advanced analytics, and more.
Key questions this feature will explore are:
- What is smart manufacturing?
- How can it be applied to the baking industry?
- Which bakery manufacturers are investing in smart manufacturing technologies and practices and why? How is it improving their operations?
- What are the areas of focus? For example, AI, automation, etc.
- How are they justifying the investments to ensure the technology is futureproofed?
- What are the challenges faced along the way?
We’re also looking for case studies which demonstrate the above.
