Lola’s Cupcakes is the latest to jump on the bakery-hybrid bandwagon by creating a new grab-and-go breakfast Cupcake Croissant offering.
The company makes each product by hand, using an all-butter croissant recipe, shaped like a cupcake and sold in nine different flavours, both sweet and savoury.
Asher Budwig, managing director of Lola’s, said: “Our cupcake-loving customers have been asking for a morning treat for a while now and we are absolutely thrilled to introduce Cupcake Croissants. We have the most diverse range of cupcake flavours in London and wanted this to be reflected in our Cupcake Croissants.”
The hybrid treats are available as cinnamon, jam and custard, cheese and tomato, and chocolate flavours, with cheese and mushroom, cheese and spinach, apple and sultana and pecan flavours launching soon.
Lola’s Cupcakes has a flagship store in Mayfair and an outlet in Brent Cross shopping centre, with central London cupcake counters in Selfridges, Topshop, Harrods, Spitalfields and High Street Kensington. It has also launched into several underground train station locations after launching a partnership with TFL.
