New bakery treat ranges featuring the likes of Zillionaire Pâtisserie and Cocoa Apricot Sharing Cake have been launched by dessert brands Gü and Balconi.
Having unveiled sleek new packaging at the start of 2026, Gü has now further expanded its chilled desserts portfolio with the launch of a Pâtisserie Sharing range. The company noted its brand-new product concept taps into growing demand for premium desserts for social occasions and at-home entertaining.
Each new dessert (rsp: £9.99) serves six to eight people, and features a reimagining of signature Gü cheesecake flavours combining indulgent layers, an oozy centre, and a delicate sponge base. The also come complete with a bespoke Gü Slicer tool, enabling consumers to serve clean, even portions that showcase the product’s layers.

The Pâtisserie range has been launched with the following three flavours available year-round:
- Zillionaire Pâtisserie – double chocolate ganache, treacle-infused crème and buttery French salted caramel over soft cocoa sponge
- Spanish Lemon Pâtisserie – lemon curd, lemon crème, and lemon confit with sponge
- Salted Caramel Pâtisserie – caramel crème, vanilla crème, and buttery French salted caramel over sponge.

The range, which is available now at all major UK retailers, will be joined later this year by two limited-edition variants (rsp: £12). These include White Chocolate & Raspberry Pâtisserie, combining white chocolate ganache and crème with raspberry compote and sponge, and Gingerbread Caramel Pâtisserie, which brings together warming gingerbread spice, caramel, sponge and vanilla crème.
Balconi view
Italian bakery brand Balconi has accelerated its UK expansion with an extensive rollout of new products across discounter and wholesale channels. From snackable madeleines and cake rolls to sharing treats, the collection is said to bring the warmth, artisanal heritage, and irresistible indulgence of Italian bakery culture directly to everyday UK shoppers.

Adding to the launches of Cake Bars and Sponge Slices earlier this year are new Italian Madeleines (rsp: £1.50, six-pack) in classic or chocolate varieties. They are described as delicately baked, yoghurt enriched shell-shaped cakes offering a taste of European elegance.

There’s also individually wrapped Cake Rolls (£1, six-pack) – soft, sponge mini rolls filled with apricot, strawberry or chocolate cream. Balconi called them perfect for lunchboxes and guilt-free snacking, with the apricot and strawberry versions coming in at under 99 kcal per serving.

For family gatherings and effortless tea-time desserts, Balconi has created new Sharing Cakes and Sharing Rolls. The cakes (£2.50) are available in four flavour choices: a coffee-soaked Tiramisu layered with mascarpone cream; a deep Chocolate sponge topped with chocolate shavings; a light Strawberry & Cream cake with white chocolate flakes; and a rich Cocoa Apricot (Viennese-style) sponge layered with velvety cocoa cream and tangy apricot jam.

The Sharing Rolls (£2.50) are moist Swiss rolls with either intense Cocoa or aromatic Cappuccino coffee cream filling.
“In Italy, taking time out to pause, connect, and enjoy a traditional afternoon “merenda” (Italian for ‘snack’) is a cherished daily ritual,” commented Michael Inpong, chief marketing officer at Valeo Foods UK, which acquired the brand in 2015. “Every Balconi bake honors that passion, carrying over 70 years of Milanese heritage, time-tested recipes, and quality ingredients,” he added.
