Bakery ingredients supplier Zeelandia has employed a new account manager for clients around London, to offer extra support in product development.
Romain Curnier, a French patisserie expert, will be helping bakeries, patisseries, hotels, restaurants and wholesalers in London in his new role.
David Amos, managing director at Zeelandia, said: “Romain’s appointment has been warmly welcomed by customers.
“His experience, backed up by the support of our renowned technical team, can contribute really positively towards their problem-solving and product development.
“Romain will be making sure customers know about these products and helping them identify opportunities with current applications or new product development.”
Curnier has previously worked in Ireland and France. He said: “British patissiers are really keen to experiment and try new flavours. They don’t see it as an unforgivable heresy to break with tradition and bring new ideas to the table. Their exploratory approach is a real driver of growth in the pastry sector.”
