Wall’s and Pork Farms producer Addo Food Group has kicked off a recruitment drive.

The business said the temporary positions may be suitable for people who have been affected by recent redundancy in the hospitality and leisure-based industry due to coronavirus.

It is offering roles to people with all levels of experience at its Spalding, Nottingham, Market Drayton, Shaftesbury and Poole factories.

“Coronavirus has impacted so many businesses within the hospitality industry already,” said Addo Food Group CEO Deborah Bolton.

“As workers are being laid off all over the country from restaurants, pubs and bars, we’re pleased to be able to offer temporary positions within our six sites, which may help ease the financial pressure that a lot of people now find themselves in. It’s a really difficult time for people and it’s important that we help where we can.”

The company said experience in the food manufacturing industry isn’t essential as training will be provided for all roles.

Addo makes own-label and branded savoury quiches, pies, pasties, slices, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and pork pies.
