Pladis is launching three limited-edition McVitie’s chocolate digestives flavours to mark its Olympic sponsorship.
The new flavours – on sale from this month in 250g packs with a £1.50 rrp – are Marmalade on Toast, Cherry Bakewell and Strawberries & Cream.
Shoppers will be encouraged to vote for their favourite new flavour via the #SaveYourFave hashtag, with the winner becoming a permanent part of the McVitie’s chocolate digestives range.
The products are being launched ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to celebrate McVitie’s sponsorship of Team GB.
“As part of our partnership we knew that we wanted to create a big buzz around this year’s Olympic Games and help the nation cheer on Team GB from their own homes,” said McVitie’s brand director Emma Stowers.
“We know younger consumers are particularly excited about innovative flavour combinations and unusual taste profiles. By introducing these novel flavours, we’ll enable shoppers across the UK to get behind Team GB by enjoying the ultimate British tradition: a cup of tea and a biscuit.”
The launch of Best of British Chocolate Digestives comes as the brand begins to roll out an on-pack ‘proud partner’ logo across its biscuits and cake ranges.
