The tenth instalment of our Christmas treats- Slattery, the renowned Manchester-based bakery and chocolatier is to invest its online offering.
The winner of BIA Celebration Cake Business of the Year, Slattery has said it will also grow its cake business.
The bakery has this year made a cake for I’m A Celebrity contestant Carl Fogarty, winner of the Jungle King crown. It is currently running its Christmas stall in Manchester Christmas market.
The business also launched a new range of beers this year, made especially for them by a local brewery, which has created a chocolate stout to complement the bakery’s chocolate business.
General manager of Slattery, John Slattery told British Baker: “Over the past year we have seen a significant rise in our ‘on line sales’, next year this is an area we will be investing both time and money in to further build our mail order business.”
“We expect to see a continuation and hopefully an increase in the trend for bigger and more elaborate celebration cakes both in the birthday and wedding sectors.”
