Pret has unveiled a new menu for spring 2023, including wraps, toasties, and bloomer sandwiches.

More than 20 items are making their debut, meaning the launch is Pret’s biggest menu update since 2019.

The line-up also features Pret’s Coronation Chicken Bloomer and Coronation Egg Bloomer, in time for bank holiday weekend celebrations of King Charles III’s coronation on 6 May.

“For nearly a year, our team have been working hard on creating a new menu with bold, fresh, colourful and vibrant flavours for our spring menu,” said Pret A Manger UK food & coffee director Katherine Bagshawe.

“From researching food trends to sourcing the right spices, we’re really proud of the quality and variety we’re offering our customers, from Pret twists on classics to innovative new dishes inspired by global cuisines. We wanted to create something for every taste at any time of day, and we’re excited for customers to try our new favourite bloomers and more.”

The company’s new seeded bloomer sandwiches, all freshly made in Pret shops, include the Italian Deli Bloomer, which is loaded with Milano salami, Grevé cheese, roasted tomatoes, pesto, mayo and rocket. The Veggie New Yorker Bloomer, meanwhile, gives a nod to the Big Apple’s iconic sandwiches, with its filling of mature Cheddar cheese, mustard mayo, gherkins, pickled cabbage and carrot, rocket, and crispy onions.

For something closer to home, the ‘British favourite’ Crayfish & Rocket Bloomer joins the line-up alongside the Coronation Chicken Bloomer and Coronation Egg Bloomer, the latter of which is also available at Veggie Pret.

A hearty selection of new rye rolls, toasties, wraps and baguettes complete the main course options. To be enjoyed at any time of day, the Avo Brunch Rye Roll comprises sliced egg, avocado and a spicy chipotle ketchup. The Spicy Salami Toastie is stuffed with Milano salami, sliced mozzarella, chargrilled peppers, red tapenade and harissa mayo, while the Pesto, Mozzarella & Roasted Tomato Toastie has been revamped.

For those looking to get their hands on a wrap for lunch, three new varieties to suit global palates have also been introduced.

The Curried Chickpea & Mango Wrap features roasted garlic chickpeas coated in Pret’s own apricot and turmeric coronation sauce. The Korean-Style Chicken & Slaw Wrap has British chicken coated in spiced BBQ sauce with Korean-style slaw, purple cabbage, cucumber, spinach, mayo and coriander. The vegan Korean-Style Mushroom & Avocado Wrap (available at Veggie Pret) swaps chicken for roasted mushroom and avocado and uses vegan mayo, plus shiitake and chestnut rashers.

Finally, a new baguette brightening up the lunchtime menu is the Chicken & Stuffing Baguette, a recipe combining classic flavours of a British roast dinner.

The range of spring items is available to dine-in or takeaway from all Pret shops, or via delivery partners like Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.
