Roberts Bakery has joined the Society of Food Hygiene & Technology (SOFHT)’s High 5 scheme.
The scheme enables five technical staff from Roberts to attend training with the society, as well as utilise its expertise in food hygiene and safety. It will also allow the staff to establish support networks and share issues and successes with others.
“SOFHT’s training academy offers flexible training too, which is a real bonus. Level 4 food safety training, for example, can be carried out one day at a time, so is perfect for food industry professionals to update and refresh their training without the need to take a week out of work,” said Steve Beckett, hygiene manager at Roberts.
“The training days will aid our team-building, as staff based at different sites can meet and communicate, building stronger relationships between the young, creative teams who are behind the new-look Roberts brand.”
Roberts recently unveiled a radical relaunch, featuring new branding and NPD, including gin & tonic-flavoured buns and fiery corn rolls.
High 5 membership costs £295 for five team members and is open to all technical staff, such as hygiene managers, quality control managers, food technologists, lab managers and quality auditors.
